MISFITS' GAZE started in 2022 as a platform at the intersection of music and politics. Our concert series was established in Frankfurt in the "Netzwerk Seilerei".
MISFITS' GAZE - the outsiders' perspective - deals with socially relevant topics that affect both our ensemble and us as individuals and are therefore close to our hearts. In our musical programs, we not only want to deal creatively with topics such as racism, sexism and classism but also go into depth and educate ourselves politically in order to find sustainable solutions.
The (classical) music scene has a multi-layered problem with structural discrimination. We want to counteract this, at least in our small sphere of influence, and give a voice to those who are (still) too rarely heard. We celebrate the vibrant diversity of the contemporary music scene.
